In our Spring Workshops 2019, we had three workshops – Figure drawing & oil painting, Pastel Portrait, and Still-life & Flower Studies.
Have a look below at what we got up to in each of the three art workshops:
Figure workshop
Students learnt to apply proportion and values to the figure model. They began drawing in charcoal and progressed onto oil painting with a limited colour palette.
Pastel portrait workshop
Students learnt how to develop their portraits by using sanguine and pastels with a variety of techniques in blending & layering, and temperatures & colours.
Still-life & flower studies
The fundamentals of proportion and composition, as well as the techniques of paint application and colour theory, were all covered in these workshops while working on a variety of still-life and flower studies.
