David Shevlino will be giving a painting demonstration of a portrait model. Showing the step-by step painting process; his colour palette; and answering questions.
Please note: This is NOT a live streaming demonstration, you will need to attend it in-person, which is held at London Fine Art Studios, London, SW11 5QL
THE ARTIST:
David graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the University of Pennsylvania. He also studied at the Art Students’ League in New York. As a teen David developed a love of traditional figurative painting. Later he began exploring a looser paint application which straddles the line between representational painting and abstraction. He has exhibited his work throughout the US and regularly teaches workshops in the US & Europe.

Rooted in the Atelier tradition

From Renaissance Italy to our studios in London, we carry forward centuries of hands-on artistic training — where tutors work side by side with students to build real skill and confidence.

Always working from life

We believe drawing and painting from life is the most powerful way to develop as an artist. Every session — from plaster casts to live models — sharpens your eye and deepens your understanding of form, light, and colour.
