Course structure:
The Felicia Forte workshop is a combination of 2 courses, 3 days still-life and 4 days portrait course. The courses can be taken individually or in combination with each other and are intensive courses learning the skills of Alla Prima painting with a focus on Abstraction, Portrait and Still life.
Please arrive anytime from 9.30am for set-up. Teaching will be from 10am-1pm and from 2pm-5pm. There will be an hour lunch break from 1-2 and there is a coffee shop at the studios.
Felicia is an inspired, creative and energised teacher; she will interact with each student according to his/her experience and strengths. Students of all levels are welcome.
Course content:
Alla Prima painting, or wet on wet, single session painting is a stimulating method which teaches you to be present in every brushstroke, focusing only on the essentials, ultimately giving you great dexterity and control.
With demonstration and gentle critique, Felicia will challenge you to correctly observe and record the fundamentals of shapes, values, edges, and colour.

About Felicia:
Felicia Forte is a representational oil painter based in Detroit, Michigan. In 2015 Felicia’s Self Portrait was exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in London for the BP Portrait Award. In 2018 Felicia was shortlisted for the BP Portrait Award.
