With a sold-out Friday night event, we were excited for our joint venture with Leighton House Museum. On the 15th March 2019, our first Drink & Draw session began at 6:30 PM. The guests gathered in Leighton’s dining room for a drinks reception by Mama Xanadu’s Wild Alchemy bar and as they put it, their concoctions are “based on ancient folklore and modern herbalism, with a dash of magic.”

Following the sound of the piano notes from the staircase to Leighton’s Studio, the guests were now ready for the main event, the drawing session. With an introduction by Ann Witheridge to the night ahead, the model in place, and drawing materials in hand – everyone got comfortable as the drawing session commenced.

Throughout the night Ann Witheridge gave the guests pointers on portrait drawing encouraging guests to push their artistic limits with confidence in a relaxed atmosphere.

Looking forward to the next Drink & Draw session? We sure are and it’s only two months away now.
Book directly through Leighton House Museum for the 10th May 2019 session.
