Artist in Residence: Live portrait demo
Rowena Griths by Nneka Uzoigwe
11am -1pm, & 2 – 4pm
ATRIUM, NATIONAL ARMY MUSEUM
In these lively art and storytelling workshops, the female veteran will be discussing their time in the Women’s Royal Army Corps (WRAC) and the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS), whilst our artists provide a live commentary on the portrait techniques they’re using.
Drop in between 11am and 1pm, or between 2pm and 4pm.
These sessions are part of a series which complements the National Army Museum’s Rise of the Lionesses exhibition and celebrates the role of women in the British Army.
Five artists from London Fine Art Studios will paint five inspirational soldiers who have served in the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) or the WRAC. The portraits will then go on display at the Museum.
The paintings will be on display at the National Army Museum.
